On August 26, 2026, I had the pleasure of being invited as a guest on an episode of Exposure – Analoge Fotografie, a podcast all about film photography.
Marsi and Kuba, the guys behind the podcast, had asked me to share a few stories about the history and technology of Exakta cameras. So I packed a handful of cameras from my collection and headed over to the studio. Before we knew it, we were deep into a relaxed and thoroughly nerdy conversation about the “mother of all 35mm SLR cameras”.
I also got to share some of my hands-on experiences from restoring and repairing old Exaktas, along with a few tips for anyone thinking about buying one of these fascinating cameras.
The atmosphere in the studio was incredibly friendly and laid-back – which probably explains why the episode ended up being quite a long one!
A big thank-you to Marsi and Kuba for having me. It was a really fun evening!
